April Recap: Building Websites, No Code Required

Last Thursday, 50 of Montreal’s keenest Girl Geeks gathered at Twist Image with their laptops in tow, to listen and play along with the witty and awesomely thorough Liesl Barrell talk about hosted sitebuilders.

In her talk Building Websites, No Code Required, Liesl covered the basics (and even not so basics), strengths and weaknesses of the following hosted sitebuilders: Flavors.me, Weebly, Squarespace and Drupal Gardens. Whether you’re looking for free or almost free, aggregator or do-it-yourself, this presentation proved there’s pretty much something for everyone.

Bonus: Now when someone you know runs to you and says “I need a website!” you know exactly where to send them
